Mary Porter is a seasoned interior designer with nearly three decades of experience specializing in high performing environments, relationship-driven design, and project mentorship. She began her career in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area, where her early work with both rural and metropolitan health systems sparked a lasting passion for pediatric healthcare design.  In addition to healthcare, Mary created long standing relationships with a fortune 500 Global Company, local K-12 school systems, and religious clients.

Mary’s passion for creating thoughtful healthcare spaces led her to Atlanta, where she continued her career with leading architecture and interior design firms. At NELSON Worldwide, she was instrumental in helping establish a studio focused exclusively on healthcare real estate, fostering long-term client partnerships and strategic project delivery.  Most recently she has been involved in another corporate fortune 500 company where she is transformed their space to accommodate new Back to Office culture. 

Throughout her career, Mary has built her reputation on collaboration, mentorship, and technical excellence. She has worked closely with leaders, peers, and emerging designers while maintaining a strong focus on quality construction documentation, design standards, and project execution.

Today, Mary is passionate about guiding and mentoring design professionals as they navigate the evolving demands of the industry. Her goal is to support teams through every phase of documentation and delivery—helping reduce stress, improve efficiency, manage costs, and contribute to stronger long-term employee retention.

When she is not working with industry professionals, she is either drawing or biking on the Silver Comet Trail.
